50 Years of Open Tournament.
Captain Gabriel Kennedy made a presentation on Friday 19th August to AJ Cole from Abbeyleix Golf Club who has been a visitor to Tramore Golf Club Open Tournament for the past 50+ years. The group of golfers including Paddy Purcell (48 years taking part ) and Eddie Thornton (42 years taking part ) played from Monday to Friday inclusive and were returning home to Abbeyleix to play in a charity golf classic on Saturday. The second & third generation of the Purcell family have now joined Paddy in taking part in the Open Tournament
